I’ve got a 60mm octogon with text and a border. It consists of individual objects for each letter, all of which are the same depth. However, when I slice, half the letters dissapear. Even scaling to 300% only results the missing letters having a depth of 2 layers.
I cannot for the life of me figure out why multiple objects of the same depth aren’t being sliced

Edit: Found the problem! Your layer height of 0.2 is not sufficient to display the fine details!
Set it to 0.16 and it will print properly.
So either set the layer height to 0.16mm or you will have to raise the letters slightly.
Here 0.2 mm, but with raised letters:
But do you get letters that are uniformally deep? When I changed the layer size, I ended up with the missing letters having on one layer of black. It’s mind-boggling. I forgot to say I tried both of those options, among several other tweaks to the original Fusion 360 model, as well as completely re-making the model from scratch. It’s why I think there has to be an elusive slicer setting somewhere I’m missing.
It’s actually kind of embarassing how long I spent trying to fix this problem…![]()
Sorry, I do appreciate the help! Didn’t mean to sound ungrateful.
Next time, if you want to have such small text on a surface, do the following: Select “Change type” and then modifier. You are trying to stick different objects together, and the slicer doesn’t know what is more important to you. So, depending on tolerance, it displays certain letters and others disappear. To prevent this during planning, use the font as a modifier.
This is not always practical, but if you want the text to be that small on a surface, then it is.

No problem, no need to be embarrassed, that’s what the forum is for. Ask as many questions as you like. ![]()
AHHHHHHHHH. When you said something about multiple objects I realized I didn’t cut the letters and them extrude into empty space. ![]()
ANNNNND I don’t think I ever realized the slicer gave weight to objects over others. And after thinking about that, I moved Body 22 to the top of the assembly list…and BOOM. That’s why it only showed some letters vs others!
Thank you so much for the nudge I needed.
