So this is the issue we are running into. I currently have a P2S and only printing one color. This is a print I am trying to do to go on a wreath for a friend whose son is playing at SFA this year as a freshman. A gift for her. My brother has the H2C and agreed to print it for me. I create a 2d image in photoshop and had it converted to an STL file by Chat GPT. when he put it in and sliced it, it looks perfect exactly how we want it to print. When he went to print it did not place the colors in the correct spot and the mask is all purple with no black. This is the first time he has run across this and is puzzled, we tried a few things to no avail. We are puzzled and would like to get this finished to surprise her before he leaves for college at the end of may. Any ideas what could be causing this. Why would it look perfect in slicer and print different. He has done many prints and knows how to assign color but this just isn’t working. This is for my learning as well. Hi, it would be best if you can post the project file. Otherwise we’re just guessing. Extra confusing is the black first layer photo, but then you say there’s no black (nor is there any in the last photo, it seems). Or why are there over a dozen filaments in this project? There could also be multiple issues here.

There’s like…7 purple filaments and 5 black filaments in there. There should be one purple, one black, and one white.
Your brother most certainly does NOT know how to do multicolor.
I think he said GPT did it, which kinda tracks, AI does not do this well.
OP, your brother may be able to do this sort of “flat extruded shape” with the base svg straight in the slicer, send him that.
Well, this is set up for an A1 Mini which is odd. There are only 2 layers, which doesn’t seem to track with the photo showing infill. Or where that solid black layer came from.
Despite all that, the only definite issue I see is the multiple filaments of the same color. The slicer and printer will think these are physically separate filaments, despite the colors being the same. Only use one instance of each filament color (as CF said).
The correct printer needs to be selected of course. Beyond that, the selected filaments will need to be properly mapped to AMS slots and H2C nozzles when sending the print.
I wonder if this will be sturdy enough to remove from the plate, with just 2 layers and the chunky first layer lines (bunch of voids around the lettering and such)… and the ironing is questionable. But those are separate (possible) issues.

If you use AI, you’re responsible for the work the AI does for you. Everyone needs to learn and live by that principle. The fact that bro didn’t catch eleventy billion different purple filaments doesn’t reflect well on his skills tbh.
Ok first of all my “Bro” is pretty skilled, this is just an area especially with a file he didn’t create that he hasn’t messed with. The file was done in GPT not customized by myself or him as I am not “skilled enough” yet. He usually starts all his from scratch not trying to figure out what happened with an existing file, this was sliced on my side so it probably looks different on his end, so analyzing this is not his specialty and does not reflect on his skill at all. I could question your skill by just by what you said to me right? I don’t think so because I don’t know you. I do appreciate the help but don’t respond well to ripping others you don’t know. I will pass this on to him. We are thinking about going to cad and starting from scratch but he travels alot and was trying to save time to get this done. Sorry dude, but the only way anyone improves at anything is setting down their ego and making an honest appraisal of their own skills. If you and bro can’t handle some very mild criticism, that’s 1) sad and 2) your issue, not mine.
I guarantee when he’s printed in the past, there’s never been 7 different filaments of the same color - and I can tell by your two failed prints when he saw that he just guessed at which filament to assign where - that’s why you got two prints with totally different base colors. That ain’t “skill”.
Here’s your solution.
Go to your slicer, hit the home button, select maker lab, scroll down to “image to 3D model”. Use that instead of wasting time modeling it again or screwing around with CrapGPT. Failing that, you can use your existing model, wipe all the color information, and manually paint it.

Trust me we can handle criticism all day long don’t mean it is right to berate someone when you don’t know. I do appreciate the help but no sense in calling someone out. We are all here to help each other and learn not to criticize. Criticizing is different than constructive criticism. Like I said he is working alot and traveling and probably was in the head space to catch it. Make sure you have all facts of the situation before commenting.
