Full Bed Printing Without Weak Spots

Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding printing. I need to print a model that goes from one edge of the print bed all the way to the other, so I need to use even the area that’s limited by the second extruder. Personally, I would expect that Bambu Studio would handle this automatically if I set the same material for both the left and right sides. But as I tested, it doesn’t seem to work that way. Could you please give me some tips on how you manage to use the entire print bed area without ending up with a weak joint during printing? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Personally, I would imagine that Bambu Studio could solve this by making a diagonal cut at the joint where the two extruders meet—similar to how bricks are staggered in construction, so that there isn’t a straight seam running vertically through the model. This way, the joint wouldn’t create a weak line across the print.

Is a wall ok there? Make this cut yourself and assign the same filament (but different nozzle/AMS) to each side.

Yes, I tested this. I created rectangles of 25x25x200 mm, divided them in the middle, and printed them. The part held fine, but as soon as I applied a bit of force on the edges—so that the main stress was in the middle—it separated. That’s why I’m looking for a solution to make it without creating a weak spot during printing. The item I need must also be airtight.

In my opinion, this is the main disadvantage of H2D compared to H2S, which could be nicely solved in the slicer, thus eliminating the issue. And a similar function already exists in the slicer anyway.
