Autodesk released a new update for Fusion today. It includes the long overdue parametric text feature which is awesome. Unfortunately the text parameters do not show up in the Customizer on MakerWorld.
This will be a game changer for any text customization. Any workarounds, will this be added soon?
I would also be keen to see support for this. I want to imprint crucial dimension information on a model, depending on the parameters chosen. But unfortunately the customizer doesn’t react on changes here and the imprinted text stays the same.
noice! Thanks for the super quick answer.
Didn’t really bother to look around in the forum for similar threads, since this one showed up so quickly ![]()
Ah awesome, looking forward to that! It will be the final missing piece for an overhaul of my magnetic tubes

yup, perfect use-case. I wonder though how they’ll handle fonts ![]()
Agreed that this will be an awesome feature when it is ready.
It would be good if it were clearer that this is a work in progress… I’ve spent a fair amount of time and searching to find out that it’s not me… it just isn’t ready yet.
Any Updates on this? One of my fears is that the user won’t be able to just enter Text, rather they’ll need to have ', on either side of the text. I was thinking I’d create a User Text parameter and have it feed to the text field using a concatenate to put the 's in, but there is no concatenate in Fusion functions.
I’m sure makerworld will do the escape character and add the ’ ’ for the fusion api
Are they still working on this feature? I was trying yo do this yesterday and it’s still nor working, I’m new to this so I also might be doing something wrong.
Welcome to the forum!
Their last post about it was 6 days ago. They said the Fusion API doesn’t support it yet and that’s what they are waiting for.
Still waiting. They been working on it for 7 + months??
Any solution? Or workaround
