I’m experiencing an issue with the “Gap Fill” tool in the Color Painter mode of Bambu Studio. Here’s what happens:
I select a painted area and adjust the Gap Size parameter.
Visually, the holes in the painted area are filled in the preview.
However, the “Execute” button remains grayed out and cannot be clicked.
When I exit Color Painter mode, the hole-filling effect disappears.
Using another tool (e.g., switching to another painting action) also removes the effect.
I’m running the latest version of Bambu Studio. I’ve tried:
Slightly changing the gap size
Painting a small additional stroke
…but the Execute button still does not activate.
It seems that the gap fill works only as a temporary preview and cannot be applied permanently. This behavior appears to be a bug, as the visual effect is lost when leaving the painting mode.
Could you please look into this? I can provide screenshots or example files if needed.
Just so you know, this forum is user-to-user. Bambu Labs themselves don’t provide official support here. Occasionally you might see them suggest opening a ticket and sending in logs, but the real value comes from the community members who share their experience and advice.

The paint has priority in this case, do the holes after painting… Just like TEXT… you can paint over it until hierarchy is changed, call for new text and write over.
