Gaps in Vase Mode with Fixes not Working

I’ve just finished designing my airfoil to be optimized for vase mode printing as I can’t get ASA Aero to print well normally (that’s a whole separate issue), but I recently noticed that there are these horizontal gaps that cause poor layer adhesion in these areas and I think it is caused by the printhead traveling despite in vase mode. Anyone have any ideas on what this is and any fixes?

For reference, I’ve used this same method successfully without these horizontal gaps before in classic wall generation. Archane wall generation doesn’t make a difference for me, at least.

Give me a hand here: How is the slicer supposed to calculate this correctly? In vase mode, the object shouldn’t have a complex internal structure, which is definitely the case with your object. From what I can see, it’s not just a wing - it has a complex internal structure that you designed yourself.

I suspect that the slicer is completely overwhelmed and that’s why it inevitably inserts these lines. Normally, this mode is used - as the name suggests - for vase-shaped or spiral-shaped objects. It’s not intended for extremely complex objects that have an internal structure.


Bambu also describes this on their website:

Therefore, it is only applicable to some models with relatively simple structures. If a model with a complex structure is printed in this mode, it may have suspended parts because it cannot be completed through a single perimeter, as shown in the figure below:

I’m not a hundred perecent sure but lowering the slcing gap closing radius to 0.005 fixed it. Thanks for the help tho!
