I have a couple questions concerning PLA Silk and the A1 Mini. First of all, can I combine regular PLA and PLA Silk on the same model? Second, I see a setting on the Bambu slicer for Generic PLA Silk. What setting does that actually affect? From what I read, the key setting differences are silk requires a bit more heat and a slower print speed. Is that what is being changed by choosing that PLA Silk setting? Thanks!

common settiings for most manufacturers , ive never tried mixing silks with pla , experiment.

Yes you can combine them.
Problem with Silk is you want to obtain a perfect outer layer and to do that you need to print it at constant speed (I’ll say no more than 60 for outer wall and i’ll explain why) and to do it you need to be sure to don’t slow the outer layer for layer time purposes.
I made a profile for a lovely super silk bronze from eryone. All new silk profiles I create start from this.
On the reel it’s written: speed 30-60mms temp 190°-220° (hope they imply a 0.4 nozzle)
So volumetric speed 6.6 for reaching its max suggested speed and to limit abrupt speed changes during the printing process
speed limited to 60mms for outer wall + don’t slow down outer wall (filament’s cooling tab)

The label only shows Temperature Range: 200-220 C, which I thought was the standard temp for regular pla? I’ll explore the setting referenced above by @Neiljt and then just run some tests. It doesn’t look like very much difference between the two, but your mention of slowing it down makes sense and I will check into that. Thank you.
I already printed silk and basic pla together. The bore is also black pla. 19*12 cm
Please no beam interlocking unless you want to feel the real pain
