Glue on Supplied Bed

Hi to everyone,

I have just ordered the new P2S and I‘m excited to get it. Actually I was working until now on my self made Kossel Mini (RAMPS 1.4+256Step Drivers) and I used the FilaPrint plate on my Heatbed.

So my quetsion is, do you use Gluestick or Liquid Glue on the included bed in your P2S?

Thanks for any advise.

Not speaking for the P2s but for the p1s (since it’s basically the same bed) and the answer is no - unless i print TPU but then the glue just acts as a release agent which is what you want for tpu. Otherwise - no.

I coated all my plates with Nano Polymer for printing technical filaments but everything else sticks realy fine, except PP.

I haven’t used any on it yet

I’ve only used Black/White PLA so far, but i’ve also only had it printing for about 12 hours over two weeks.

I do not and will not use any glue on any filament.

That is my personal preference as printing has moved on from the necessity of it.

That said, this is true for where I live and the associated environmental factors, humidity and temperature.

The need for glue varies on what your factors require.

The same goes for drying filaments.

As you use your printer, you will learn how your environment affects things.

I used to keep the door open on my P series printers during the summer thinking it needed it, it doesn’t, door shut all year round.

Work out what your requirements are and enjoy the new printer.
