Grinding noise, and lousy prints

  • Detailed description of the problem - I had a big clog about 2 weeks ago, and had to replace the Hotend Heating assembly. I followed the steps exactly, but the printer has not been the same since. It makes an almost grinding noise sometimes when printing. And prints are coming out horrible. The attached photos are a print that has been coming out perfectly flat for almost a year, and now is as shown. Have re-leveled everything, recalibrated, etc. New hotend, new silicone sock. Any thoughts?

Well the grinding is likely secondary to the thing warping up and getting mechanically dragged on the nozzle/toolhead.

Not sure what to add. Looks like default support settings, maybe you can do better with more interface / interface density or lower top z distance.

Thanks, a bit of improvement with creating a new project and importing the STL to it. Must be some setting that I’m missing. Still working on it, but better.
