Sure that’s the right reply for dummies, I would say user has to be skilled to recognise the state of the device, as everything.
First of all the debris check nearby the screws, to happens especially with support filaments. Execution time, 60 seconds.
Then feeling the quality of lubrication with naked fingertips, adding grease or oil if needed. And about this I say WD-40 lasts longer in winter with 19°c in the room, down to one week of operations in summer with 30° c in the room.
Ex yesterday I added oil on every oilable part of it, because they were drying. Grease was ok still.
In the end yes, one week is a good span

thats my problem as well, also metric and acme are a little bit different. the angle and root are different. i dont want to take appart my printer, just to measure the nut
I used these pom nuts
I made an adapter to install them from the top, but the same adapter could be used to install them from the bottom. That way it would be just like Bambu Wiki for replacement. I made 3d printed jigs to machine the adapter and nut.
These would work as the adapter to modify, the 24mm OD x 10.5mm ID x 5mm thick size.

Four start threads should be turned, not tapped. Good luck with tapping them even in plastic, that’s whack.
Related note, I would never replace my lead screw nuts with FDM printed ones, machined plastic is the way to go IMO. From either bar stock delrin/AF, ertalyte, or special plastic from IGUS.
If someone releases a kit with good quality replacement nuts, they will find buyers for sure.
i could easily knock some out on the cnc lathe as well, but i thought POM should work with a tap, if ive the the correct measurements, i’d rather order custom ones from IGUS, it’s cheaper than to machine them myself from something like iglidur
