H2C broken glass panel on delivery

Just got my H2C and i won the broken panel glass lottery due to Bambu terrible glass protection. They sell a $2400 product and they can’t spend the extra dollar for better glass protection, what a joke. i wonder how many units i will go through before i get one that isn’t broken. Totally regret buying direct.

Take photos. Show the damage on the box. If the glass is broken, there could be a big dent or hole on the box. Show the broken glass and any other damages on the printer. Open a ticket and attach these photos as proof so Bambu Lab can prove to the carrier that it’s most likely the carrier that caused the damage.

Here’s an exmple of what others are doing to show the damage caused by the carrier.

Like the other guy said: Take a photo, file a ticket, get a warranty replacement glass door.

The thing floated across an ocean then did a cross country tour. Getting upset over things like this is foolish when you can just have a replacement door shipped to you.

Imho the packaging of the printer is very good. To get the glass door damaged means that the package must have a large hole, or it must have fallen quite hard.

In that case, I would check the rest of the printer thoroughly.

I think that is the best decision.
When normally transported, the packaging is good enough to protect the printer.

With such damage, I would prefer a replacement also.
Not nice to wait for the replacement, but in this case it’s worth the wait.

Would like to mirror the subreddit sentiment here: We don’t really want to read the same topic again and again about shipping damage. It’s just a reality of consumer distribution, if you don’t trust your local couriers, buy from a brick and mortar shop. Either way, support needs to hear, we really don’t. The packaging on the H2 machines is honestly incredible, it’s a standard by which other direct to consumer machine packaging can be judged.

I’m of the opposite opinion and i’m not going to be gas lit into submission either. i see it from a different perspective and more people should complain because this seems to happen way too much. imo the packaging is not good. a piece of cardboard and one tiny bubble wrap is not enough. products that are more durable, like freezers or mini fridges are packaged much better and they can take more of a beating. this is a high precision machine that needs handled with care, not some entry level ender printer.

Got a pic of the box damage?

Not sure how you define gaslighting but whatever… MOST people are not getting their machines showing up broken, it’s just a reality it happens to a few. It Does Happen, nobody will deny that or downplay it, it’s just not worth posting about IMO.

We only hear about the bad deliveries here, nobody is posting photos of their intact deliveries working perfectly out of the box (the experience which the vast majority of us have, recurring even).

Does anyone think the packaging is going to change? It’s already great. The couriers can really suck. Give feedback to Bambu and maybe they can improve the preferred delivery service, where the problem almost certainly is concentrated.

I never said most, i said it seems to happen way too much. I wouldn’t even care as much if they would email the return label so i can get it back faster or even cross ship the replacement in parallel, which neither they will do. It is bare minimum support for paying $3000, absolutely pathetic. But to your point, next time i will wait for my local Microcenter to get it in stock first to avoid this nonsense.

They are really well packaged, but that does not protect them from drops or other rough handling. There can still be internal damage that is not visible from the outside.

There’s nothing foolish about expecting a multi thousand dollar product to arrive at your door complete. What is foolish it talking down to someone on here…

This is the side of the box where the left panel was broken. So something jabbed it or dropped on it, etc. Also some smaller rips on the opposite side. Still I have little faith the next one will arrive intact either if this is how FedEx treats packages. I think Bambu should really consider adding styro blocks to protect the glass better if they keep using FedEx. Not to mention the glass spilled all over the carpet when I opened it which my wife cut herself on. But next time I know better to check it more carefully before ripping the plastic.

Oof, that looks rough. When I saw Fedex was delivering mine, I feared the worst. One side of mine looked similar, but thankfully it was superficial to the box and my printer was undamaged. Fedex are such brutes when it comes to large packages which is why I purchased my X1C from Micro Center a few years back. I really wish they’d use UPS, I tend to have much better results from them.

I could definitely see that box bending in enough to hit the glass. Its just the thin layer of bubble wrap around the mid section, right? Ive actually brought this up a couple times. I think I was met by 4 or 5 folks telling me how awesome the packaging is and that nobody could do better. So they never did better. Sorry about that.

Every company uses the same shippers. And they all suck. Its really up to the seller to make the packaging protect the item for the trip.

No they don’t we are not all living in the same country and some of the things that seem to be acceptable in one place are not in a different place. The way my H2C was delivered was with a different shipper on the printer than on the other parts (dhl, dpd, fexed etc etc). That shipper took a amazing amount of care in putting it on a pallet, adding more wrap, calling be for delivery date, calling 30min before arriving. But even with the normal brands leaving something in front of our doors is never done.. well i had it once time (think it was dhl) and i complained. Just pointing out that its not always the same and also depends on if you have a fixed driver etc etc… Now i do feel sorry for what happened with your box its ■■■■■■ brands even have to make boxes almost for 20cm rubber to make sure someone who clearly is frustrated with their job of delivering packages to have such a negative effect. And i do feel complaining here is ok since well we all have to have a place to vent out anger at times.

Every company uses the shippers that thay have at their disposal. Sorry, should have said it that way. Companies that ship worldwide, use the same shippers. I imagine they dont have much choice, during sale times and try on concentrate on shipping times. You can see right now that people are getting mad about stuff taking a few days to leave the warehouse. Its a trade off. They use whats available or whats fastest as a trade off from using the best and making us wait even longer.

Amazon rocks, because they have there own logistics network to work within. Probably never going to see anything match it, until all delivery service is done by drone. I imagine theft will be a big downside to that.

It really comes down to the companies knowing how the shippers handle things and make the packaging stupid proof. Or deal with a little backlash from time to time, in the form of a forum rant or angry ticket. Probably the more profitable route, so won out in the meeting. Maybe more protection around the mid section puts it just over the 100lb threshold, becomes harder to automate packaging or some weird thing that I dont know about.

Otherwise, why not ship it in a giant foam box within a cardboard box like most brands of random electronics? Or 2 box halves. that cover it 360°. The very first time I saw the bubble wrap, I laughed. Its a big gamble imo

Out of curiosity, how much would you folks be willing to pay for better packaging and delivery?

I think there’s a constructive element to this thread but I feel obligated to point out it involves dollar signs.

Yess feel bad for the billion dollar company…they can afford a few extra pieces of styro packaging just fine. I don’t understand how spending $100+ for every return and reshipment of a new unit + scrapping a broken unit is cheaper than spending a couple bucks on more packaging. If they can’t absorb a few bucks per unit for better customer satisfaction then that is just plain greedy.

Will this work? If yes, let’s propose to Bambu Lab
