H2C cracking sound while printing

Hello

My H2C has now already 500h worked without any problems.

But since a few weeks I reconiced an annoying cracking sound while printing. It seems to come from the housing or the base plate. If i slightly lift the front right feet it disappers.

I tried already to remove the right cover and tighten all screws, also from the bottom but nothing helped.

Print Quality is not affected, everthing runs as expected.

Does someone else have similar problems?

If you mean cracking sounds from the frame or panels, then yes – I also get that, especially after high‑temperature prints. I have both an X1C and an H2D, and they both make these popping and crackling noises when they heat up and as they cool down again, which is just normal thermal expansion and contraction of the metal and other parts.

This is one of the reasons I always let the whole machine heat soak properly before starting a print. If anything is going to move, I want the ABL and other sensors to compensate for it as accurately as possible, which they cannot do if the printer is still in the middle of heating up or cooling down. So I bring the machine up to the intended printing temperature and let it stabilize there before I start the job.
