H2C fails XY homing

Im a bit lost here .

My H2C was working on a print I heard a thump and went to check and the AI had halted the print due to spaghetti detection,

I cleared the plate and restarted the print file and the printer spent a bunch of time banging the tool head into the back of the printer and then failed XY homing.

I tried turning the printer off and restarting and got the same so I tried to do a factory reset with no luck

I started a support ticket and sent this video

Support says ”Based on the video you provided, I have not noticed any obvious abnormalities for now” and “send a new print task to the printer to generate new logs

and recommended I put some grease on the Idler pullys.

I purchased the printer from the online Bambu store and received it January 31 2026

it has 216 hrs and worked very good up to this point.

Im not sure how to proceed

Well that’s not something you see every day….

Not surprising it made a loud noise when it let go. But I can’t think of an explanation for how that could happen other than the motor shaft was defective from the start (cracked). The shaft has probably been moving back and forth a little for a while, and it just took this long for the fatigue to break it completely. IMO there’s no way the forces acting on that shaft could break it if it was good to begin with.

Actually the way I figured it out was a couple others had the same problem.
