I’ve set up a dual material print: Left nozzle PLA as support, Right nozzle TPU from ext. spool. On every nozzle swap from right to left, the filament gets cut in the right nozzle. This is not happening when switching from left to right.
I am wondering why is this necessarry. It seems to me that it is just wasting time, and with soft TPU risking clogging. Maybe i missed some configuration?
If I recall correctly, this is done to avoid the inactive filament breaking while the other side nozzle is printing.
Obviously that isn’t a concern for TPU, but the nozzle change behavior is the same regardless of the filament being used.
