Slicing a model and the Filament Saving slice recommends having all but one filament on the right nozzle. If I move one of the colors to the left nozzle I shave almost an hour off the print time and actually use a few less grams of filament, but there is an extra filament change.
Does it prioritize filament changes over print time and filament savings?
What version are you using?
I’m not happy with that feature either, so I’ve started handling it manually instead. I know which two colors appear most frequently, so I make sure they’re on different sides. I then distribute the rest to the right nozzle to take advantage of Vortek.
I also posted a thread here in the beta forum recently; the automatic distribution ended up adding 2 hours to my print time - for nothing.
The latest stable release, 2.6.0.51.
