H2C/H2D: Best way to save Left versus Right Flow Ratios for the same filament?

I’ve been calibrating my filaments on my H2C and am noticing the same filament has different flow ratios (left vs right nozzle). How should I be saving/storing this in Bambu Studio slicer?

Is the answer:

  1. Duplicate my filament into two custom profiles (eg L-Kingroon PLA and R-Kingroon PLA)

  2. Average the two flow ratios and store only one profile because <5% difference won’t be noticeable (eg 1.01 vs 1.05)

  3. Other solution I’m not aware of

Fortunately PA is stored uniquely in the calibration > flow dynamics > manage result menu (left vs right).

I was also thinking each induction nozzle could potentially have a different flow ratio… but that’s a potential problem I can save for later. Am I just overthinking this?

Not surprising the two nozzles have different flow for the same filament. Two identical nozzles could easily have different flow. We’re only talking about a couple of percent difference.

I think the correct answer is #1, and also, to open a ticket with Bambu suggesting they add the ability of the filament profile to have “L” and “R” nozzle parameters.

This is a huge design flaw in the H2C imo. Why didn’t they make the left also an induction nozzle design as well? Being different nozzle types means both sides each need most of the calibrations separately.

The main question is whether the percentage difference between the nozzles stays consistent across different PLA brands.

If the deviation is always the same, for example the left nozzle consistently extrudes 3–5% more or less than the right one, then it wouldn’t really be an issue. You could simply account for that with a fixed offset and save a dedicated profile, without having to run a separate flow calibration for each nozzle every time.

However, if switching to a different PLA manufacturer changes that percentage difference, then the offset between the nozzles would not be stable, which makes things more complicated.

And another point: on the right side with the six nozzles, are those internally consistent with each other, or do they also have noticeable percentage differences between them?
