I’m pretty new to Bambu ecosystem and I would like to ask if we are able to:
Manage the internal storage in H2C (or other H2 devices) with Bambu Studio?
Currently it seems only external USB storage is manageable via Bambu Studio
I would prefer to utilize the internal storage more since I don’t like something always plugged in the USB port which bend/damaged quite easily.
Tired search in the wiki and this forum but seems no luck so far

There are very nice low profile USB storage devices, which for some there are nice cover on MakerWorld, that prevent damage to the stick or port.
You can find some threads on here about them.
What would you want to use the internal storage for?

I personally would be prefer the USB port not been used.
Background: I own creality 3d printer as well and it literally can work perfectly without USB drive.
I guess this is kinda of protect the OS in the machine not been hacked easily since Bambu is not open-sourced solution?
It might be one of the reasons.
Additionally I think that the internal storage is not big enough to store multiple videos or timelapses.
And since it is a closed system, I don’t see any other reason for having access to the internal storage. For Bambu it would only introduce a risk of more support because customers start messing with system files.
I bought a slim samsung USB 512gb stick for my printers and haven’t even come close to knocking it once. Might be an option for you if you’re worried about hitting it.
@Gerrit is correct. There isn’t enough storage built in. The USB not only stores previously printed files, it’s where files are loaded from Makerworld should you download one to print.
It will also hold any timelapses you do. I’m not 100% sure but I believe it stores logs etc.
The low profile they offer (that’s backordered) is fine, sticks up probably a quarter inch and in all my hours I’ve not come close to touching it. Even if you are concerned there are prints on MW that will provide the USB protection.
Hi everyone, I just got my H2C and it won’t let me save files on it. Do I need a USB drive for that?
