Additionally I think that the internal storage is not big enough to store multiple videos or timelapses.
And since it is a closed system, I don’t see any other reason for having access to the internal storage. For Bambu it would only introduce a risk of more support because customers start messing with system files.
I bought a slim samsung USB 512gb stick for my printers and haven’t even come close to knocking it once. Might be an option for you if you’re worried about hitting it.
@Gerrit is correct. There isn’t enough storage built in. The USB not only stores previously printed files, it’s where files are loaded from Makerworld should you download one to print.
It will also hold any timelapses you do. I’m not 100% sure but I believe it stores logs etc.
The low profile they offer (that’s backordered) is fine, sticks up probably a quarter inch and in all my hours I’ve not come close to touching it. Even if you are concerned there are prints on MW that will provide the USB protection.
