H2C Left Nozzle AMS HT Problems

Little problem with my H2C ‘s left nozzle AMS HT, any maintenance whizzes out there who can help me? There’s like a “force field” barely past the HT’s outlet. The filament enters the PTFE tube; then retracts. I have changed the tube. I was able to do my 3 day print by cutting my 200 gram losses and loading filament in an external spool, but now that I have a beautiful Puerto Rican castle, I want to get my HT working again. I’m not a novice, I’ve solved many of my problems with current and past printers with approximately 5 years of experience, but I just cant figure this one out. Can someone please help me? Did it ever work? Have you opened a ticket with BBL? Sounds like the feeder motor overload is being triggered. If you don’t see anything obstructing the filament path, the HT probably needs a replacement board.

Never opened a BBL ticket, but what I have opened is the entire system. I found no clogs. It used to work perfectly.

Did you try the HT on the right nozzle?

No, I have 2 ams 2 pro on there right now.

I had the same issue with one of my HT’s, what seemed to be causing mine was the filament detection sensor cable plug wasn’t fully seated its socket. Quick 5 mins fix, but does require some minor disassembly to get to it.

None of my AMS HT units had spool rollers that rotated smoothly—there was always some minor binding that went unnoticed when running them as standard AMS units. However, when I used them as external spools, the friction became quite apparent.

I disassembled mine and applied dry PTFE spray to any areas that felt sluggish. Since then, they’ve been performing excellently, and I’ve successfully run everything from TPU/PEBA 65A to PPS/PPA-CF through them (using bypass mode, of course).
