H2C pricing - alternative H2D/H2S choice... Bad Thinker?

I welcome your critical thinking input!

Waited for the H2C arrival like everyone else here.

The budget version H2C is 2249:- or rather 2699:- with the recommended packagedeal enabling its use…

Color me a dumbass but the idea is speed here, is it not?

So why is not everyone simply getting,
2 x H2S 1399:- = 2798:-

Implicating 98euro diff literally gains printing 200% faster than a single H2C…

Am I missing something obvious here?

Naturally I think the H2C looks cool and love the flagship bragfactor and all the general bling stats included.

But practically?

Im not the sharpest tool in the Canoe which explains I barely managed to stay afloat this far.
But I have you forum mates earned my deepest trust,
so I turn to you.
What are your thoughts here mates?

That depends on whether you need many parts quickly. In that case, multiple machines can work in parallel. But if it’s just a single, complex part, having more printers won’t reduce the production time.

Following that logic, why not just buy four Snapmaker U1?

I think that pretty much settles the matter. I’m not a printer farm, so I’m not really interested in what I could do with two H2Ss…

I don’t have any H2 series, but I thought it was interesting question. So I loaded up the new slicer and tried a large 4 color model and the H2C was twice as fast as the H2S. But that was one large, specific model I was interested in. Maybe try it yourself and see what you think on models you are interested in.

Is it much faster in single color?

No, it will have exactly the same speed as a H2S.

For me, the appeal is not at all speed, but reduction of poop and the ability to use dedicated nozzles per material. It completely avoids contamination of one material by the previous material.
E.g. I always have a bad feeling when I have printed something in PC and the next part is in PLA. as a safety measure, i load PETG, extrude some and only then print in PLA. Don’t know if it is justified but I don’t want to find out the hard way.
I also find it super convenient to have different nozzles sizes at hand with just a click of a button.

Still I won’t buy. I don’t have the space, can’t justify the price and don’t need the build volume. Instead I hope that they will bring the Vortek system to a smaller single nozzle printer, e.g. a X2C or P2C. that would fit my needs much better.
