Hey guys,
I received my new H2C Full Laser Combo last week and am quite satisfied with it in terms of 3D printing.
However, I am having difficulties with the laser and cutting modules and hope you can help me.
Laser:
-
Calibration completed after installation
-
- Error in HMS
- Followed the QR code, cleaned the area, and successfully completed the “initial installation” instead of the “mounting calibration”. The QR-code-tutorial said to do the “initial installation” instead of “mounting calibration”.
-
new error in HMS
I have already reset the printer to factory settings 3 times!!!, always with the same result.
Restarting the printer causes it to start with laser calibration and the error from point 2 occurs again. So, everything again…
If the error is ignored and the sample project in Bambu Suite is started, a timeout or unexpected error always occurs at the “Capture Image” point. Unfortunately, I do not have any screenshots of this and cannot get to this point anymore because the printer is always “Busy” at the calibration point, even though it is not doing anything. So there is no progress here and a continuous loop during calibration.
So let’s do something with the Cutting module…….
Here, the error occurs at 50% during calibration after installing the cutting module.
Searching the internet and chatting with Bambu AI didn’t help either—the bot doesn’t recognize the error code.
All firmware is up to date.
3D printing works fine so far.
I have already opened a ticket, and the first response regarding the problem with the cutting module is not helpful.
*”Please kindly note that the cutting module is indeed supported for use with the H2C. However, the firmware required to calibrate the Birdseye camera with the cutting module has not been released yet. Currently, you can use the cutting module without the Birdseye camera and it will function as expected, but photo preview won’t be available at this time.We are expecting to release a beta version of the firmware that supports Birdseye camera calibration with the cutting module in late March. We recommend staying tuned for this update.”

How should I use the cutting-module without the camera, if I can’t even finish the calibration process?
Besides, I have the Birdseye camera, since I also have the laser module. So, why doesn’t it work together?
I already calibrated the birds-eye-cam with my laser-module and tried it the cutting-module again….. same error as before..
Regarding my laser-problems they asked for logs and a video.
I have sent them the logs, but what should be visible in the video? The entire laser calibration process?
I have forwarded this query to support and am awaiting a response.
I would like to resolve the issue by Friday or at least have some possible solutions, otherwise I will consider returning the printer. The additional cost for the two functions that I cannot use at this time is simply too high to keep the printer in its current state. I would much rather keep it and be able to use all of its functions. As I mentioned, 3D printing works perfectly.
I hope anyone has a hint or a possible solution or something like that.
Best regards
Christian
