I think this sums it up - maybe they invest another $2 next year to have their top models equipped with a more adequate PSU.
It spins at idle mate yeah. I got it on UK launch and was in November.
I found my H2C’s idle power supply fan noise, while not “loud”, a little annoying. My web search indicated that the fan in the power supply was 24V. I had a DC-DC converter ready and purchased a 12V Noctua fan ready to swap the stock fan, but to my surprise, the stock fan was 12V. A little bit of connector changing and the Noctua fan is now in my H2C. The Noctua fan is much quieter, almost imperceptible. The most time consuming part was the removal and re-installation of the back panel.
that’s interesting, i’m actually getting a replacement PSU as the fan on mine is dying (rattling noise all the time) i might keep the old psu and try adding that noctua fan, this way if/when this replacement dies, i’ll have a backup ready to go
