H2C - should the induction nozzle "tick" during leveling?

Quick question, I’m trying to resolve an auto bed leveling issue (0300-4002 and 0300-4010) that appears to only impact the right (induction) nozzle:

When I push up on the normal (left) nozzle, it moves upward and “ticks” slightly; I assume that’s part of how the force transducer works for bed probing.

Is the right (induction) nozzle supposed to do the same? I push up on it and don’t get any movement at all, which seems odd.

Nah, that sounds normal. The left nozzle has the mechanism to raise it out of the way, unlike the right nozzle, and that’s what you’re feeling when you push on it. The right/induction side shouldn’t have any play.

You may also find that the auto-leveling with the left nozzle is rather slower than the right, which is apparently also “normal” since the left nozzle has that play.

There are also some screws on the left nozzle that sometimes aren’t “tight enough” and cause extra play, though I’m not sure how common of an issue that is out-of-the-box. Thanks Max, I appreciate it.

I’ll be checking the screw tensions next, already removed the little shipping clip from the front of the printer as well and re-leveled, no love there, and also tried a full factory reset and calibration for good measure. Managed to get a single 4-color test pyramid done, but first large print the errors came back again.

Bit annoying that this happened on a week-old machine, but c’est la vie.

I just recently noticed a few left screws were not tight at 1500 hours on an H2D. It probably is heat cycling. I didn’t check to see if they had thread lockers on them like the filament guide and cutter levers do.
