The H2C is here but some of the transport bolts are too tight … result … the appallingly cheap ‘tool’ that came with the printer broke. The ‘hex’ end snapped off into the inaccessible bolt’s hole … filling said hole … with no way to finish unscrewing the bolt.
After calming down (!) I was able to find a jeweller’s screwdriver with a 2mm hex head that was able to get just enough purchase that it could finish the job … but I was fortunate enough to have ‘broken the seal’ of the bolt first, there ccwas very little depth for it to grip with.
Suggestion to all unpacking the new toy … if you have your own 2mm hex key that is long enough … then use that rather than the Bambu supplied one!
Yes there was one deep one that supported the AMS bracket that was very tight and hard to get at. I never use the included tools though, one of the first things you should buy as a 3D printer owner is a set of hex drivers. I made some swivel backs for them, and bought some color collars as they look identical otherwise. They make working on the printer much more pleasant.
when i was rushing to start printing last night they were on so tight that i broke the allen wrench on the third screw. i had to take a magnet to remove the broken wrench tip and then a 1.5 mm hex wrench worked for me but was almost breaking my fingers to loosen them
The tip of the supplied 2mm long allen key sheered off while trying to remove one of the screws in the rear plastic bed carrier. Luckily I had a magnetic replacement to recover the broken piece! Avoid the supplied key when removing the transit screws, use something more substantial!
My guess it was only a few workers who did this and they changed the level. It was weird and not needed and i am sure would have been changed after the feedback. There are enough of us who noticed it and decided to comment on it to be real.
