Does anybody happen to have an answer to this question? It seems to be a relation - but to what?
0.97 is the default ratio for PETG HF. 0.99 is the default for PLA Basic. Some methods of flow ratio calibration DO suggest starting at 1.00. Is this what you’re looking for? Sorry if not helpful.
I’m newish to 3D printing. How is this looking?
Bambu ABS. Light blue is H2S (2500hrs) with default flow ration. Dark blue is H2C(1200hrs) with .01 higher flow ration than default.
I’m just not good at reading print lines(tea leaves).
H2S has been solid from the box. H2C had initial layer issues. Eventually I traced it to a terribly trammed bed. Did the dial indicator tramming process and it improved. One thing I did notice was that after tramming and doing a normal and high temp bed level calibration I had to just let it do a few prints and then run the calibrations again. It seems this printer likes to go through a few heat cycles after tramming to settle and have a decent bed level cal.
Only issue now I notice is the edge of the top surface of some prints are ‘rough’. Not sure why but it’s either a k-factor thing which seems pretty easy to dial in or an extrusion issue which maybe intermittent.
IMHO it’s not great, not terrible. The dark blue seems particularly affected by this bug.

With 2.6.0.51 and the even newer beta, we now have a new setting to help with the overlap and monotonic line. I haven’t played with it much, but it’s suppose to be Bambus fix for our issue.

That’s what I thought too, but this setting only extends the nozzle travel without extruding filament and my tests found it not effective.
Has the recent beta firmware improved the PA algo or no?
While I agree with you that the H2C does have problems and the print quality is less than that of the P1S in my opinion. However, based on your photos, a lot of that is a settings issue based on how extreme the differences are. I have 2 P1S’s and have an H2C that I am always fiddling with. Things are certainly very different, and from all my tests and calibrations across both machines, the PA value and flow rate need to be higher on the H2C. Someone who posed earlier mentioned the flow rate calibration mode in the “developer Mode” is flawed because it keeps the flow rate the same and only changes the speed, when the speed should be consistent and only the flow should change. This was verified when comparing it in Orca Slicer which has the correct coding to keep the speed the same and have the variable flow rate per object plate.
I believe the H2C might just need some software tuning still. I was watching corridor crews latest video, and in their sponsored section showing the H2C I noticed their top layers were looking underextruded very similarly to what everyone here is having.
After a long process with support, I was finally able to get a replacement H2C. Came in the other day, and after doing some test prints to compare the results, it seems my new unit is performing much better. These comparisons are from the same models, with the same filament profiles, using the same filament roll.
I’m not sure what ended up causing the issue on my old model, but I’m happy to finally be getting satisfactory results out of the box.
I’ve tried calibrating the PA and flow rate settings in the calibration tab of Bamboo Studio countless times, but either I’m incompetent or the P1S automatically corrects itself no matter how many mistakes I make. ![]()
There are so many sensors, cameras, etc., but there are still very simple errors. For example, I didn’t quite understand what the nozzle camera does. It tells you when it’s dirty, though
They could have added another lidar or similar device and automated these settings. It worked, for better or worse, on the X1C. On the P1S, I’ve been working like this for a long time: Open Bamboo Studio > Add Model > Enable Supports > Slice > Send.
Hello, looks like I’m having the same problems with my H2C printer. Just bought it a few days ago, and after printing a model that I printed many times with my P1S, I noticed something was wrong. The bottom and top layers are under-extruding, which is especially visible when I print multicolor text on my first layer. With the P1S, the same model with exact settings was coming out perfect, while with the H2C, there are visible lines, separations, and “gaps” (as shown in the pictures below). For me, this model is basically useless. The used filament was Bambulab PLA Basic and PLA Matte on both printers, with stock presets.
I did all the standard calibrations (bed leveling, flow dynamics, etc.), cleaned the nozzle tips, and removed the shipping bracket that is known to cause bed warping issues. But all of that didn’t help!
Now, I know there are settings I could adjust, like infill overlap and increasing the flow ratio. But the point is I don’t want to do that every time I start a new print; sometimes I want to print the same model on P1S and H2C, and changing settings and profiles every time is frustrating, since I’m selling some of the models and I want to be as efficient as possible. The only reason I bought the H2C is to have the reliability and convenience of the P1S, with added multicolor and large build plate benefits. Now the 2300€ machine is useless for me..
I opened a ticket on the Bambulab customer support. They told me to do a manual calibration, slow down the speed, and send them pictures of the calibration results. Will keep you updated.

I’m becoming very shocked about the lack of developer responses on this issue as there was confirmation months ago that this was known issue and since that time absolute silence.
