Nice! Yeah, gonna wait for the v2 since the HEPA will be necessary to at least help prevent the carbon from getting clogged up quickly.
I personally wouldn’t even mind not using the front grill piece to allow more room for such a combo.

V2 should be released sometime early next week. Right now I am settling on the most efficient HEPA filter size wise. Have tried a few but too much dead space inside or it’s so thick it won’t hold much carbon. But I found 2 different ones that should be perfect, I just need to figure out which of the 2 is better.
I originally was going to go with the little filters that everyone used in the bento boxes but they’re so tiny you’d end up using 6-8 of them. The one’s I’m looking at will either use 2 or 3 filters, and they’re the same type readily available vacuum filters, just a different model.

Does that part in the middle I have circled here inhibit air flow at all? I’m assuming that it’s blocked off there to direct air in through lower portion and up through the carbon?
The door that opens for heating mode lines up with where you have the circled portion filled in solid.
The front and the rear have different grille locations for the most part. The top grille lines up with the rear because that opens when its venting or doing air conditioning for PLA and PETG so you don’t need a lot of filtration. The front and the back lower ones are offset. The back one lines up where the vent opens to allow air through the carbon. I didn’t put an opening right in-front of it that way you end up with more carbon contact for more odor removal.
The longer the air is in contact with the carbon, the more it can remove. And since there isn’t a lot of room front-to-back having the air flow up through the carbon gives it more contact time and is able to remove more.

Okay that’s what I figured was going on, just wanted to verify. Good thinking! I was surprised to see that only like 40% of the oem filter actually gets used lol.
Yea, OEM filter is kinda odd
If you’re thinking of printing it though, hold out a few days and I will have V2 released with HEPA filters
Also, in 2 days I’ll be posting a bento box for the right side as well.
