Hey all I have an issue and Im looking for some help. I swear when I bought my H2D a couple months ago I could print while drying. I just updated to 01.02.10.00 a week ago and I can’t dry while I print now. Maybe Im loosing my mind but it frustrating me a bit. Maybe Im wrong. I tried to do it today following instructions in videos posted online but it wont do it. Do I need the Beta version 01.20.30 to get this function? Somebody talk em off the ledge please. Thank you.
I think your original thinking is mistaken.
I do not have an H2D but Im inclined to think this applies to all the AMS that can dry.
To do printing AND drying would require individual control of each slot AND drying is done per AMS. I have an AMS2 and an AMS HT and and when you set up to dry you get (in my case) 2 choices. AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT. There is the option to do the rotisserie option on the AMS 2 Pro which requires you to pull the filament out of the funnel and the spool needs to rotate backwards from printing.
To prevent spool from unwinding itself it rotates clockwise when drying, while when printing the spool rotates counterclockwise
Thx for the input. I guess it can be done but only in the new Beta update which I dont have. I swear I was doing it before though. Im only 49 and shouldn’t be having these senior moments already. It’s being talked about which might have gotten me all mixed up. I have so many dryers and AMSs I can’t remember what I did last week.

People dry in the HT and use the bypass port to feed if on current firmware. Maybe you did that?

That’s exactly what I did as soon as I read your post it clicked I knew I was drying and printing at the same time. Thank you very much for that.
