Finally, I got hurt by sticking my hand into the enclosure when I shouldn’t have. I consider myself lucky. the print head hit my arm, pushing it out of the perimeter, bending my hand and striking me directly on the back of my wrist. It happened too fast, not even pain, just the skin torn off at the impact point and bruises appearing. It’s been since 2015 since I’ve gotten hurt like this and the first time on a printer. Now, obviously my only worry is whether I ruined calibration. I’m anxiously checking the print (Badge W40 Imperial Fists). I’ve been punished by the machine spirit and for today Khorne’s happy 
I had become too used to printer’s old routines and forgot about the new firmware. Thank God the printer doesn’t seem to have suffered any issues, but I’ll keep monitoring it regularly for the next hour and a half.
I repeat, I got off lucky because I was thrown out by a back and forth motion and my arm had enough span to move. I don’t even want to imagine what would have happened if a part of my body had been pinched against the frame. probably 100% broken bones..

The printer has a setting to pause on door open - isn’t that enabled by default?
I don’t think it is on by default. I just get the HMS message it’s open, and didnt know it was an option to enable that. The laser edition might be different though.

Oh and there’s usually a pause button somewhere. The printers. Not the barracuda.

. That’s ok, GenX is use to fudge cake in a field.

Every now and then I will see something on the build plate I would like to brush away, this has happened enough times that I am now certain the camera is watching me and comes after me as soon as I stick my hand or any other object in the printer while it is printing.

Even though the injury does not sound serious, you should still clean and monitor it closely for any signs of deeper wrist damage or swelling. Your printer is almost certainly fine. Brief collisions like that rarely affect calibration unless there was a hard mechanical obstruction causing skipped steps or belt issues. If your current print shows no layer shifts or anomalies, you can assume motion accuracy is intact.
The open door warning has always been disabled, I print everything with the door open
