Even though I have no filament in AMS slot A1, the printer thinks that there is something there. I cannot get the filament removed from the h2d screen either.
If you unplug the 6-pin AMS cable, can you then manually load filament from the rear buffer?
I think there are four filament detection sensors along the filament path, although I haven’t disassembled the AMS Pro 2 yet.
The path includes:
• AMS feeder arm
• AMS extruder/selector under the main frame
• H2D rear buffer
• H2D extruder pivot arm
All of these components need to be clear for successful filament loading.
The rear buffer can sometimes get filament jammed inside, and if that happens, it may need to be disassembled to clear the blockage.
Yesterday I received the spare part and installed it in the evening. I’m currently doing the first test print. Seems to be working perfectly again.
Both filament sensors on extruder arms ?
It appears that my issue is probably in the AMS hub. If I take the Hub off of the cradle that holds the filament spools, is it easy to clean out the hub?
You talking about the rear printer buffer or AMS internal parts ?
Yeah it’s stuck in the AMS hub. I did read the disassembly guide. Will it be easy, Once I remove the Hub, to see what is stuck
I haven’t taken the AMS 2 apart yet, but the AMS 1 was easy to work on.
