Hi, I am having the exact same error, and problem. Which ticket did you have and what did they send you. I have this at the nearly end of the print, and I also disassembled the whole thing, there was no filament viewable. how does this sensor look like?
For me it is on the left extruder.
I had this once with pla which was wrapped around the extruder wheel, which I cleared, then it worked, until now, it does not at all. The thing is clear and absent of filament. however, can this be a hairlike bit of filament? Where is the sensor?
I had this same ‘hall sensor’ error on my left nozzle. Tore it all apart, and noticed my filament guide for the left side had some residue built up, from what looked like the factory. I sent that over to BL support, they shipped me a new extruder. My H2D is finally running as I expected after swapping it out. It was a PITA to have to do this on a 3 week old machine, but I’m happy BL support was quick to resolve and didn’t nickel and dime me with fixes.
This seems like a software bug to me, we need a way to manually force the printer to let it know there is no filament present.
I have the exact same issue as @CopyKnight - everything is working fine, I can load and print, but it does not let me unload the left extruder. It’s unable to detect that the filament is removed.
I don’t think that this is a software problem.
Then everyone would have this issue.
Either there is still some debris present that is being detected, or there is a hardware failure.
Yeah I guess you are right. For now I just attached my AMS to the right extruder and everything works. I actually wonder if my left extruder was faulty since I got the machine, I just never noticed since I did not have the AMS.
Hit this issue tonight after doing a cold pull of all things. Got the filament guide and hall sensor out, but didn’t have any luck cleaning it out. Hall sensors are good because I swapped left and right and still get same result (the “bad” side is still bad with the other sensor, and the “bad” sensor is good on the other side). Ordered a replacement from bambu in hopes it fixes things.
