H2D brittle filament PTFE mod

I’ve been having some troubles printing with brittle filaments such as PPA-CF and PPS-CF on my H2D ever since I bought it. During the homing cycle the PTFE tube becomes pinched between the print head and the right-hand wall of the printer. This bends the filament inside and can break brittle filaments. This will cause the printer to stop shortly after beginning the first layer as the broken piece of filament runs out. I went looking for help on the Bambu wiki page and found the guide for PPS/PPA materials. The guide mentions the issue with the filament breaking inside of the PTFE tubing. However, the instructions provided did not work well for me. The tubing became pinched when the print head moved back to the nozzle purging area. Instead, I increased the length of the PTFE tubing feeding the left print head to 70cm (Original ~61cm). This allows for a gentler bend in the tubing during homing preventing damage to the brittle filament inside. I tried this with PPS-CF and PPA-CF and have had good results so far. It doesn’t require raising the glass top either. Hope this helps someone else.

PROBLEM: Homing routine breaks brittle filaments

CAUSE: Left print head PTFE tubing too short (61cm)

SOLUTION: Increase PTFE tubing length to 70cm

Tubing can use original routing
