It is always a mixed jar of pickles. The quality of this 3rd party hotends varies a lot. If you are lucky, you will get a near OEM hotend quality. On the other hand you may get junk. The idea of an interchangeable nozzle is nice, maybe better then the original pressfit version.

I got 6 heads, 2 pcs normal 0.4, 2 pcs 0.2 and 2 pcs HF they all look good quality from the outside.
I have not used them as we will only get our H2D in about 5-6 weeks. For now I am gathering spare tubes’ cutters and everything I think we will need.
I also ordered a blast oven, driers and already have a vacuum chamber + pump.
So far are you please with the H2D ?

Given how, at least at present, the bambulab store is so very often sold out of nozzles with no projected re-stocked date:
Meanwhile, since the 0.4mm nozzles are presently available, I ordered extras just to have them on hand should the need arise. I ordered mine on June 1 and received them on June 5, so not bad, but definitely long enough that you would not want to have to wait that long for a replacement if you ran out of nozzles but still had an urgent need to complete a print.
As I mentioned in another thread I tested the Ali HF hot ends and they had about the same max flow as OEM standard flow hot ends, 40mm³/s and got an error after that “extruder motor overloaded”. I got above 60mm³/s with the OEM HF. Also the standard flow Ali hot ends with the removable tip will have subpar layer adhesion due to heat transfer loss at the threads.
TLDR: Stay away from both the standard and HF ali hot ends for H2D, OEM is the only way to go if you care about performance.
@maxim3D To fully memorialize your experience, Is this the one you tried from AliExpress?
Judging from appearances alone, it looks like there may be several different designs up for sale on Aliexpress. Maybe they’re all junk, as in your experience, or maybe someone reading this thread can report on one that they found acceptable. We’re all better informed if we pool our knowledge and experiences. ![]()
Hopefully @user_3925814278 will report back on his experience too once he’s had a chance to try his.
Also, it’s still early days. Maybe the knockoffs will improve over time.
Yes they’re all junk. The CHT structure isn’t that easy to replicate.

I do not know how the internal of the hot end is but external it looks very nice.

Yes those are the ones. They are all the same, the problem is most of sellers are using photos of OEM nozzles on their listing trying to pull a fast one.
They probably using subpar quality component for the CHT, and simplified the machining. No miracles in life, but for $10 I figured I would test them.
Yes, since they transport the H2Ds in germany with a wooden pallet now, the printer arrived here in pristine condition. Since the first start i have no problems. My first ABS print ever was excellent, no problems of any kind. I think you can be eager to get one. But for a good start i would prefer the real OEM hotends from Bambulab.

It’s actually incredibly easy to replicate given they are all mostly inserts. The original bond tech ones were machined out of a solid nozzle but they have also moved to inserts for most of their cht products.
It’s mostly just a cost thing. Substandard metals and processes.

Yeah, but that hits the point: cost thing. Currently no CHT has reached a similar performance to Bambu, E3D… or let’s just all originate it to Bondtech. No low cost variants performed close to these at all…
That’s not true at all.
The Ali knockoffs with inserts can perform just as well. The e3d performs the best overall thanks to it’s 4 way split design as opposed to the traditional 3.
I have personal experience with both on the p1s and have had no issues with tz 2.0 and dirt cheap brass cht or the triangle labs pcd diamond cht nozzles.
To put it into perspective, it cost me $75 for a full diamond (nozzle tip and insert are pcd) cht hotend with 80w heater.
Need to get it out of your head that all Chinese knockoffs and parts are somehow substandard because they are just that, cheap knockoffs. Are there parts that aren’t as good? Sure, but it is worth testing when one costs 1/5th the price

The CNCKitchen video you posted showed a copper insert for the nozzle. I presume this wil degrade quickly if using an abrasive filament? Have you found any that use hardened steel instead?
You’re comparing brass+copper vs brass+nickel.

In terms of cost, I’m not finding the Triangle Lab pricing very compelling. However, maybe that price will improve with time after they ramp their production capacity and are better able to meet demand. At least int he past, Triangle Lab had a decent reputation, generally speaking.
Update: Perhaps it’s moot, as Bambulab finally has the 0.6mm and 0.8mm H2D hotends back in stock now.
Regarding HF nozzles, I’ve only ever seen Bambulab offer 0.4mm. At least so far, I’ve never seen other HF nozzle diameters be in stock.
What’s your point? The flow difference between a nickle plated copper (which is what the bondtech is) and brass + copper insert is going to be negligible given the same design.
