H2D does not work - customer service nightmare

I so agree with you I too have a brand new H2D. After 10 success print it went haywire. Printed 80 lines without raising the printer head. Hence a big glob of filament all over the printer head not event letting me to pull it out. It took days to reply and they constantly want videos and photos. I am surprised the support of their new flagship is actually worse than the one I had for my x1c. Wish you luck in dealing with their support

We can’t cancel the pre-orders?
That’s wild since customer service told me I had to cancel and re-order to get the 20% on accessories. (I was one of those affected by the website not functioning during the laser combo pre-order).
I didn’t cancel… just misguided info.

Thanks for the heads up.

MQTT Command verification failed ? developer mode ? , where you accept responsibilty for your own actions ? asking for a friend

This thing is a mess.

Yesterday, I had a serious problem with mine where the printer completely stopped extruding after about two hours of printing. I disassembled the extruder twice and didn’t find any obvious issue – but after reassembling it, the printer started working again. So the exact cause remains unclear, but it might have been filament-related.

Today, however, new issues have appeared:

  1. AMS selects the wrong filament slot:
I loaded three filaments into the AMS and correctly assigned two of them in the slicer. During a print with color changes, the printer suddenly selected the wrong slot, which ruined the print.
  2. Color change behavior is unreliable:
The filament purge during color changes is very inconsistent. Sometimes the purge is ejected into the build area or forms blobs that interfere with the print. It’s currently not possible to rely on unattended color changes.

I’m trying to stay patient, but with multiple issues showing up on back-to-back days, I’m really questioning the stability of this system.

Is anyone else seeing similar problems?

I only have one BbL printer and I bought it refurbished at Micro Center and used the savings from buying refurbished to cover the cost of Micro Center’s in house insurance/support coverage. After looking into Bambu Lab, it seemed like price and shoddy service would be the biggest points of friction for me. Luckily I’m only about an hour away from a Micro Center which was able to somewhat alleviate those issues. I still spent more than I would have with another brand, but the price I paid was acceptable for the experience I’m having. Because of the insurance I wont have to stress about dealing with Bambu support either. (I haven’t had any real issues yet though so I take my confidence in the extra coverage I bought with a grain of salt).

TLDR: I’m buying all my Bambu Lab printers refurbished from Micro Center (with their extended warranty) from now on.

Not sure; Bambu ambiguously says ā€œwe cannot guarantee a successful cancellation.ā€

I like the sound of this.

Does the insurance specify what exactly it covers?

If your H2D malfunctions and replacement parts are required, will Micro Center procure and install them?

How much will the insurance cost for an H2D?

Hi!

I am also new to the Bambu Labs segment, and my H2D was delivered defective as well. The entire casing is warped, and the Z-axis gets stuck when moving up.

After reaching out to customer support and finding their responses too slow, I waited almost two hours to get through to the live chat. The friendly lady marked my request as ā€œimportant,ā€ and from then on, things moved much faster.

Since I also encountered issues with paying the security deposit through their system and was only given the option to pay via bank transfer, I decided to go the standard return route and accept the longer waiting time.

Today, the printer was picked up by a shipping company, and now it’s time to wait. But why don’t you try the chat support? Maybe they can speed things up for you, too!

I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully, your problems will disappear soon!

There are many shipping related issues so this are freight company damages which are caused by improper handling. I received my printer in germany from a freight forwarding company in good condition without any damages. So far my printer is working great only little slower than my X1C now but a well constructed machine. Be bambulab as a chinese company offering good support but maybe overloaded now.

Although not at the level of a new printer not working correctly, I had an issue with number of items delivered with an order and the first response was a run around. As you I made it very clear that I was a repeat customer that expected at a minimum the same level of service from BL as I got from Amazon. I said quite explicitly that they should get their act together and replace the parts. Remarkable that is exactly what they did. And for all of you nannies claiming that you might be able to solve the problem, give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he is at least as smart as you.

Thank you so much to the early adopters. Our son was going to pull the trigger against our advice when the righteous tariff kicked in. He dodged a bullet. Nobody needs this machine. It’s actually stupid. A laser…spewing smoke and gunk inside a 3D printer? What an idiotic idea! And we almost bought one!

Probably one of the most compelling marketing videos ever. With the chain mail, etc. Great marketing company.

YouTubers seem to agree. Cautious, because we don’t want Bambu to not give us free stuff in the future, but the H2D is a dud. A failure.

Elegoo and Creality will fill the spacel WOOHOO!

I’m giving it a try will let y’all know how the cancel goes. I got a H2D combo today at Microcenter.

The reality is if you need a laser device buy separate machine depending on material it will cause a lot of dust , fume and smell and you need a really good filter unit to absorb the smell. I use laser machines already for 15 years and 3d printers for 10 years these machines should not combine.

What?! Did you just walk in and buy it?

If so that’s annoying; I ordered my combo on March 25th and it won’t ship until April 30th.

I share your frustration with Bambu Labs, this is not the way to treat customers. Bambu needs to realise that without their customers they dont have a business!!!
Come on Bambu get your act together.

I did walk in and buy it, but only after spending two weeks refreshing their H2D stock page every 10 mins

This was the AMS Combo I ordered which would have shipped around May 9th. I sent a cancel message last night so will see how it goes.

You are correct, but forums do provide an insight into real world, real life issues YOU may have to deal with when dealing with Chinese customer service. If one were to just follow all the recommendations from every YouTuber that gets free printers from all their favorite manufacturers, who also have inside connections to resolve every little problem, and get white glove service, you would think YOU were the only one with problems dealing with these nightmare companies - who take your hard earned money without a second thought, but deliver a POS product that they refuse to stand behind.
When the product fails, this is when you need good customer support, and these Chinese companies are not known for giving good support. This goes for ALL Chinese 3d printer companies.

I think you missed my point a little… I was specifically referring to people with complaints that can not be addressed by the community such as wifi specs, or people that post a complaint just to complain and not try to get some advice from other members to fix it.

More than happy to read about issues people are having to know the common issues and try to help them fix it.

I feel for you. Had the same scenario with the Anycubic Max a few years ago. I try to give it an honest college try as best as I can, but after that it’s time for the Amazon replacement program.

As a heads up - Bambu did cancel my pre order for the AMS combo that’s as due in May.
