Good afternoon
I have a simple question regarding my H2D. I want to start using higher temperature/technical materials and realise that many of you in the community have designed/made custom exhaust duct systems for ventilating to atmosphere. I plan to use ABS GF for my particular geographic location due to summer temperatures and high UV. Does anyone have the exhaust port and screw hole dimensions so that I can start creating this ducting for my machine? I have tried to find this geometry, but as yet not actually found the casing/hole dimensions. I do realise that these are something like M3 self threading or similar, however, I could really do with some existing knowledge before winding the incorrect screws into my new machine. Iām sure you understand. Thanks in advance for any info.
Andy
Please be aware for high temp filaments like ABS the unit doesnāt exhaust. It recirculates the heated air through the carbon filter.
Personally I wouldnāt want it next to me when printing abs.

Thanks. Youāre correct, I donāt fancy the idea of fumes either. I use a lot of PLA, the machine is next to a window for ambient venting. But this is not a real solution. Any suggestions of alternative materials is appreciated.
ASA is known to handle UV better and produce relatively less fumes. Itās hard to reccomend a solution without knowing the environment and application you are going for.
Well, southern Europe. Lisbon. Right now weāre in the storm season thanks to the Atlantic. From March to November we get ambient temps from +20C right up to 45C and long summers. Iāll need to dump the heat outside. As much as I can.
So the part is going in-between the window and will be somewhat indoor and outdoor? Is it permanently affixed to your home or bearing weight?
If I am correct in my assumption and itās not nailed to the house petg should be fine.
This is the adapter for the rear of the H2D. Iāll use dryer duct (4ā / 100mm) and a proper exterior building outlet. Also, I see other vent grilles on the rear. Are these intakes for the power supply or filter exhaust ports? I can design a manifolding system if this is the case. What I really need is the machine casing / hole dimensions. Do you know if they exist from Bambu or a reliable set of them here?
edit - I can also use an in-line axial fan if it helps extraction.
This is the exhaust.
There are a lot of models on maker world you can rip the dimensions off as well⦠better then me fumbling a caliper.

Thanks for this. I appreciate the effort of sending me the measurements. I will suggest to Bambu to put factory dimensions available for the many users who want to mod easily. I could āborrowā a design from makerworld, but lots Iāve seem are - erm - basic. Not criticising really, but itāll be better if I made something with my experience. Iāll share my machine pieces with the community, I was going to machine a billet of aluminium but this is overkill for this application - I will stick with a 3D print for this duct. Thanks for the help.
Good luck and happy printing.

There are a bunch of H2D exhaust models in makerworld. With lings to the longer screws as well.
