My H2D flow blocker has moved to a completely wrong position.
– cannot move manually, tool change always fails
There was a large amount of filament buildup in the purge/waste area, and I suspect the flow blocker hit the hardened filament while moving and got forced out of alignment.
Now the problem is:
-
The flow blocker does not move at all.
-
I cannot move it manually, even with power off.
-
Tool change always fails.
I’ve searched Reddit and other communities for several hours but couldn’t find any cases where the flow blocker was completely stuck and unable to move at all.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is there a way to reset or mechanically realign the flow blocker without replacing the whole module?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Try to loosen these screws and remove the magnet bar, maybe it got stuck on the edge. You should be able to reach it without any other disassembly on the tool head. So do not follow the entire guide.
It is part of this guide:
Alternatively follow the guide to replace the flow blocker and unscrew it from the front after removing the nozzles.
Should be able to push down on that blocker, bending it to free it up then unscrew to remove/replace.
I managed to fix it by removing the extruder cover and applying some force to push the flow blocker down. I ended up just replacing the flow blocker part, and it’s working perfectly now. Thank you so much for your helpful advice!
I successfully completed the repair by replacing only the flow blocker after moving it with some force. Removing the extruder cover was the key. I truly appreciate your valuable advice and support.
