H2D Heater/Cooler motor damaged

Hi All
bought my HD2 on launch.
had some transit damage which i rectified, Z axis bar out of socket.
seen others who had same damage on FB.

just discovered i also have a new problem.
behing the carbon filter is the active cooling fan. There is a flap/door that lifts or lowers depending on if its heating or cooling. (not to be confused with the flaps on the back).
the motor is whirring away and the flap is not moving. it looks like either something has moved or the motor spindle is not catching the gear.
already contacted support. so await an eventual reply.
in the meantime and as sending printer back, then waiting for inspectionm then a replacement and as i have a fairly good knowledge i want to try and DIY the repair.
BUT…
for the life of me i cannot see how the motor or gear come off so i can inspect them, maybee a spring behind dislodged, maybee something else…
i’ve tried from the back with panels and fans off. and there appears nothing clipping or holdign it at the front … it could be the side panels need to come off but loath to do that as from what i can see that trashes the foam seals
any ideas please.

Ideas please…
don’t just say , “send it back” i know that, but if its a quick fix for something its easier than waiting.

Won’t Bambu send you the assembly?

I assume the last thing you and they want is shipping the printer.

hopefully they will
i got the motor out and tested it …
definitely faulty… was a bit of a swine to get out as well

I got the same error today printing ASA for the first time. Did you manage to get yours fixed? If so, what did you have to do? Thanks
