Hi everyone,
I have been having minor bed leveling and first layer issues for a while now but still have been unsuccessful in fully diagnosing it. It is also not very pressing because the effect is only minor, but the nozzle is always too low on the first layer.
Today I noticed that the left extruder can be pushed up. It is not loose per se, but I could imagine this amount of movement messing with the bed leveling. Could you please check your own printers and tell me if the left extruder is supposed to do this, or if there is something wrong with mine?
I do notice that bed levelling requires a bit more retries. But no further issue though.
Tightening the screws on the left nozzle did have some effect, but still not as dead on as on the right.
I have the same movement on the nozzle, but i have problems with the nozzle either being too high up on first layer, or too low on one of the layers afterwards ending up with Spaghetti or the beginning of a blob of doom.
There’s been a lot of firmware updates pushed (some as recently as a week ago).
If you have updated, disregard what the screen tells you about partially calibrating (just doing noise or motors etc.)
Take the time and do the entire gamet and check marking off every calibration tab there is to do and retry your 1st layer. I’m betting it will make a world of difference.
