Just updated to Firmware 01.04.00.00 on my H2D last night. Two AMS Pro2, one on each nozzle. Began to get: “AMS B Slot 1 Feed Resistance Too High…”. Not the first time I have gotten that, but this time it was to the point of the filament getting pulled back and then pushed back to the extruder, until the printing stopped. Continued the print but error kept coming up and the printing stopped every 5 minutes or so.
Tried in the next slot on AMS B, same. tried to print in AMS A on both slot 1 and slot 2… same thing.
Downgraded back to 01.03.00.00 and the issue went away.
This problem with 01.04.00.00 is being discussed on the Facebook group pages for the H2D and is NOT an isolated issue with just myself.
Understand the frustration. I’ve spent the better part of a week now trying to unravel the damage from upgrading a development platform for embedded software that trashed a bunch of files that left me with all my projects uncompilable.
As for upgrading my H2D, after the embedded software fiasco I’m happy to stick with 01.03.00.00 because it works just fine.
With the this firmware release with my Diamondback nozzle (single nozzle print) I’m getting “Anomalous jump in eddy current sensor for left nozzle. Sensor is either dirty or needs replacement” (I’m paraphrasing because the exact message mysteriously rolled off, I’ll fetch it from the logs) Anyway, it’s printing fine just getting this spurious message.
This gives me the feeling that there was already quite a bit of resistance in your filament path.
It definitely might be that the V01.04.00.00 is having it’s resistance measurement adjusted. But it could be for a good reason.
Would be worthwhile to have a look at the filament path (are there short bends) and check the tubes on wear. Worn out PTFE tubes add resistance, and short bends increase the wear of the tubes.
You might eventually see this message more often in the future with the old firmware also.
This is happening to me too and only since the firmware update. I have 4 H2Ds and 3 of them have had this error on exact 3MF files that never had resistance issues before.
Normally it’s just a warning that can be ignored (somewhat), but it’s now stopping prints completely.
One case I watched today was a 2 colour print that used both nozzles on every layer. After the first 10 layers or so, it kept cutting and retracting while flagging the resistance error. I would hit resume and it would work for a layer or 2 before stopping the print again.
I use a majority 3rd party filament, but I made sure to use Bambu filament for that print and if anything it had the most errors.
This is strange. My setup (H2D, 4 AMS2, 1 HT) has been on the edge of giving me occasional warnings about feeding resistance. I haven’t had a single issue since updating to 1.04.
It doesn’t necessarily relate to the filament. It relates to feeding resistance. When getting those messages regularly, before or now after, indicates a high resistance feed path.
Too long, too sharp corners and/or worn out PTFE causes additional resistance.
In some cases a hardware failure could be the cause, but that falling together with a firmware update is an unlucky incident.
Mine has run with one AMS2 Pro and an HT flawlessly for 1800+ hrs with all firmware updates, without any resistance issues
Bonjour, en effet, depuis la dernière mise à jour 01.04.00.00, j’ai le même souci sur 2 H2D et la dernière mise à jour également sur 3 P2S. Les AMS2 Pro réagissent comme les remarques ci-dessus. Une solution?
Nb : je suis revenu à la version précédente sur toutes ces imprimantes mes même souci (que je n’avais pas avant…)
