H2D nozzle too close to bed at back end

So I did my first almost-full-plate print of some simple dual color plates. The bed leveling seemed to take longer than usual and I noticed that after it purges and does the leveling there’s some oozing that results in a small blob on the nozzle.

However I figure that would make the nozzle too far away, not too close. It’s both nozzles as well. The first layer was getting more and more squished the closer to the back of the bed, resulting in less than perfect print results where the two colors meet.

The parts toward the middle and front of the bed came out flawless. Any ideas? Material is ABS

Any dirt under the build plate at the back?

When the bed leveling on startup takes a long time, there is a serious discrepancy beween the initial bed level data and the current measurements.

Otherwise just run the bed leveling procedure under calibration again.

No it’s clean. I only have a handful of prints on the machine so far. I’m always cleaning the bed and mag surface on my printer at home so I’m no stranger to making sure it’s clean.

As for it taking a while I noticed that sometimes it’ll probe the same spot several times at different speeds. It’ll also ooze sometimes and there will be a blob on the tip of the nozzle so maybe that’s affecting it?

I’m having the same issue … Less than 50 hours of print, observed that the rear side of the plate is having the nozzle too close to bed.

That definitely is not looking good.

Make sure your filament is dry, the oozing you mentioned earlier might be caused by that.

If your nozzle oozes during probing, you first need to resolve that IMHO.

The nozzle is only 140C during bed leveling. If a tiny bit of filament sits on the nozzle tip, it might slowly get compressed during the leveling process.
Therefore it does nozzle tip cleaning first, as it’s an important part of the leveling.

If the tip is clean during leveling, I would open a ticket.

My first layer tests are flawless on mine.

Bambu said to do the manual leveling routine (H2D & H2C Bed Tramming | Bambu Lab Wiki). I did that and we just happened ot have a 2mm gage block here to do it with. All better now.

First layer fixed. Of all the calibration, the one that hit the nail into the coffin is the calibrate heat bed temperature *smh.

Do a full calibration including that bed thing, and hopefully it’ll work (Exclude the obvious thing that needed to be done like washing your build plate, cleaning the nozzle, the camera lenses, tramming the bed, tensioning the XY belt, etc)

Now I can continue printing my Voron’s DOOMcube

I did the bed calibration - even purchased a 2mm gauge block specifically for it - and it’s still the same as it was before, no change whatsoever.
