H2D Part Cooling - Aux & Exhaust fans

So I understand there are two fans in the H2D chamber (ignoring the part cooling fan on the toolhead for the moment).

The Aux fan and the Exhaust fan.

My printer is in my outbuilding and during the UK winter it can get quite cold. Was printing a larger PLA part this weekend and it warped a little - not anywhere near popping off the smooth plate - but a little warping on the left side (aux fan side). Print was still fine and usable.

I was going to turn off the Aux fan for future PLA prints, but I have been reading up and the advice now is to also turn off the exhaust fan as well?

I have a BIQU Frostbite plate on the way - but would it be advisable to turn off both fans as well?

Another suggestion is to leave everything, and just run a Frostbite plate using the standard textured plate settings.

Which makes more sense??

Finally - if I turn the aux fan off, do I need to do this for every filament used in that print - ie enter each filament setting one at a time - or is there a global option that would apply it to all filaments in one sweep?

I live in Canada and my house can get quite cold. I turn off both the AUX and chamber fans, especially on larger prints. If its a very long print, I might leave the chamber fan at 10% to keep it from overheating. There is no universal answer, you need to figure out what works best for your environment, trial and error is the only way.

The reason they also mention the exhaust fan is that it can create a draft from the waste outlet, which may interfere with many prints.

But as @maxim3D pointed out, there is no universal answer here.

I saw there are some filament profiles with 70% aux but frankly I never felt the need to use it. It seems to me that its only function is to help maintain a uniform air temperature by preventing heat from stagnating in the upper part, when printing with a fully sealed device.

Understood.
So if I were to disable the fans, or reduce their speed - do I ave to go into each filament being used for that model, and change each individually, or can it be set on a ‘per model’ basis irrespective of the number of filaments used?

each filament subtype (like wood rather than basic) has its own settings. the thing that doesnt matter is the color
so if you’re using all “pla basic” of different colors, it is the same profile you’re using.

just change them once and save the profile
