@WisestMoose, I can’t remember… did you try the Beta firmware update to see if the problem was simply a bad or corrupted line of code?
I had tried a fresh install. Just tried a print with the newest release. Same under extrusion. Support thinks it’s a faulty filament but I am getting the same results across brands and matte vs basic. So hoop hopping currently.

Just to eliminate an obvious possible disconnect: I assume you know you need to change your filament profile to incorporate the calibration results for flow rate? Just running the calibration by itself won’t change the filament profile for you.
If the answer is yes, you’re doing that, then what happens if you set the flow rate in the filament profile absurdly high? Are you still getting underextrusion even then?
Also, I don’t think you will notice a change in any of the pre-sliced models, like the benchy, because all filament profile assumptions are already baked into those models.You would only notice the improvements on models you slice yourself. If you’re using profile settings from makerworld for a model you downloaded, by default those would override whatever settings you have, and may not be appropriate.
I do change it to the calibrated option when I slice it.
I have done a forced flow ratio of up to 1.08 with the under extrusion but was worried to try higher in case it did something weird to the printer. I am reasonably new to printing.
I get this in pre sliced ones and ones I have sliced myself. It happens with both simple and complex shapes.
If it’s still largely underextruded at 1.08, there’s no harm in inching it up from there. Just don’t make too big a step up per iteration, or the nozzle might drag itself over the top of an overextruded layer. I’ve had filaments where, IIRC, the perfect flow rate was something like 1.15, for instance.
Also, worth of note: it may turn out that the perfect extrusion rate for the first layer is different than for subsequent layers. The slicer allows you to set a different flow rate for the top and bottom layers.
@WisestMoose I can’t remember if this was suggested previously… Have you tried starting a print (Benchy) and then switching to the Silent mode to slow it down? I’m thinking this would help to clarify what bucket the problem falls into because the slicing would be a set known value and the only change relies on the printer’s Silent mode. If the print cleans up perfectly, I would think the issue is mechanical and in the extrusion system. If the issue remained, I would think the issue is outside of the mechanical features because the limits aren’t being stretched in any way.
