I’m pleased to learn us H2D early adopters can add the fan and upgraded nozzles. That would have been a gut kick if we couldn’t.
What about the new air filter from the pro? Will that be compatible with the normal H2D and for sale on the website?
I could be wrong but it has the same specs and looks like the standard H2D air filter.
yeah just imagine being the beta tester and now they sell the FINAL PRO version
Next up… H2D Ibiza Final Boss Edition.
So its basically an H2D with a real network card instead of just wireless. The one thing the H2D cannot have, but can everything else on it. About a $1200 difference between them.
Whats funny is the kill switch that comes with the Laser combo doesn’t reach far enough to be put where it is in their picture.
I have an even more secure method of isolating my printer, turn off wireless and use the USB method. There, just saved $1200.
H2D Pro is targeting users that are spending other peoples money, so another $1200 is not an issue for them.
You mean here?
That is the standard position, right? That side is against the wall on my H2D so I had to jump through some hoops to not have the switch on that side while still being able to use the laser, just because the switch can’t be installed on the left
But I believe that in the photo it is in the correct position
I would like Ethernet. Not enough to replace the entire unit. Nice to see a few of the options will connect to the original model. I don’t care for the black, I would rather a dark gray.
I’m guessing the estop cable is coiled up well enough that it hides the number of loops of cable.
Is there actually a new board in the h2d pro unit to support Ethernet or is it just a Ethernet port soldered onto the current Wi-Fi board of the h2d and just has new firmware
I will have to try again, the cable isn’t very long.
It could be. Maybe they were just highlighting the fact that it has one.
So long story short if we got a firmware update and a new board we could probably get it to work interesting…
Would be good for my setup. I have a 48 Port Cisco switch that I run VMWare off of as well as my Ruida controllers and some high end printers, I leave wireless for the cheap stuff.
you must have a twist in it somewhere below the printer, it’s actually sized exactly to be placed in that spot (i also had a weird twist at first that looked like it was falling short )
Must be one hell of a switch.
I was just thinking the same? I’ve messaged support(!) as the image gives the impression there are some additional pre-filter treatment which the current Carbon only filter doesn’t have. So it may just be an upgraded replacement filter we can swap once the ones we have run out. Or it maybe something more involved around the chamber heater and the auto gate which moves in that space and potentially a firmware change? Does anyone know if the filter side of the H2D Pro is indeed different in anyway over the H2D?
No, I mean I have a rather large VMware server with a LOT of ethernet connections to. Yeah, I thought the same when I posted it. The server is also connected to my Sherline mill. I have the Sherline software on a Debian host and a few other instances to play with, but mainly as a storage rack. 6 TB of RAID.
