I updated to the new firmware today

Updated this morning and ran all calibrations again.
So far everything is running flawless.
Also tested the laser today. Did some engraving and that also worked out.
Not sure if its my laptop, but Bambu Suite is very irresponsive. Some actions take 30 seconds to process. Will check other hardware later to see if that is the cause.

With complex setups, my Suit runs extremely slowly, even though I’m using a high-end computer with Nvidia GPUs and 128 GB of RAM.

If I run more than 1 instance of Studio, my computer comes to a crawl.
Looks like Suite is the issue here.
My work laptop has similar specs as yours, hopefully that runs faster.
Machine I was running it on is a 4 year old I7 with 32GB and nVidia GPU. It didn’t seem like it was claiming all the resources though.

I can run numerous instances of Bambu Studio on my M1 Mac with only 16g of ram [it’s an M1, so it’s fairly old] without issues. Also several on my desktop but it’s a 7950x3D with 64G of ram.

How would one do this? I’m not seeing any option to update the pre-existing presets. Do I have to remove them and re-add them?
Make sure these are turned on and restart Bambu Studio if your version is outdated you’ll see a popup confirming that it has been updated.
We are referring to Bambu Suite.

I would recommended a factory reset + full calibration after a full firmware update. I know it’s a pain but I had issues with P1S and X1C after post update, things go wonky.
Probably some old parameters are not being updated or something; left in there goes conflict.
I hope they add a feature on Bambu Handy to initiate the drying function on the AMS 2 Pro. ( Since we can turn off the turn while drying feature off )

AMS2 Pro can now dry without spinning the filaments which is nice, but still can’t dry while printing [even when using the external power source].
It would be nice to be able to keep the drier running while printing. Not only to keep the filament you may be printing dry/warm, but also because it’s capable of holding 4 spools and perhaps the 1, 2, or 3 of the other spools in there that aren’t actively being printed may need dried.
Yes, I have a separate drier if I need it - but it would be nice not to need a separate drier.

Am I going crazy or did the live view camera calibration get shorter? I can’t remember exactly, but I thought the first go around a few weeks ago it took a lot longer.
I never ran the first one, lol. But I did after this new 08 update, and it’s not as clear as before.
I put the black smooth PEI plate back on, and it seemed better - I guess the gold one is just reflecting more light.
To update the pre-sets, you just need to click Help → Check for presets update

The update from 07 (beta) to 08 (release) feels more like a version bump than a meaningful change. However, I’ve completed all the usual calibrations as I normally do.
Can you provide some details on what calibrations you performed after the firmware update?
