The only issue I’ve encountered so far with the new firmware was when I formatted the USB stick it showed as unreadable. I removed it and reinserted it, and while it displayed the correct size, the error message didn’t go away. I then formatted it on my PC, reinserted it, and this time the error message cleared.
I’ve used firmware version 01.01.01.00 before to format the USB and never saw this happen, so it might be a new bug ?
I need to run the test again, but the printer is currently in use and has already recorded a timelapse.
I completed all the calibrations and tested the vision encoder. I noticed they had also placed a clear film on it, so I had to remove that as well like the smooth PEI bed plate had it also.
The measurements were 151 µm and 284 µm, indicating only a very slight change.
Just putting this out there for awareness if this happens to you also.

The heatbed temperature cannot be controlled via Bambu Handy. This issue will be fixed in the upcoming new version of Handy (V.3.2.0).
I rebooted the printer today and used its LCD screen this morning to format my 128GB Samsung Fit USB stick. Surprisingly, everything worked smoothly kind of odd, but hey, it’s working again, so that’s a win!
I wanted to calibrate the flow for ASA. When I start the calibration print, the H2D doesn’t switch to heating. It’s still set to cooling. I can’t set it to heating manually either. The chamber has been heating for 45 minutes now and is still 8 degrees Celsius away from 60. I didn’t have this before the firmware update. Has anyone printed ASA in general since the update?
It’s the app constantly failing MQTT. The commands work and when using one (like moving the bed) it will clear the MQTT for about a second before popping back up. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling with no luck
Oh, sorry - I don’t use the app because my parts can’t be stored in the cloud, so I have to use LAN only mode.
Thanks for posting this hopefully others can chime in, or let us know if you figure it out. Either reach out to support, or let’s hope they’re monitoring this post.
Try reporting this — support will likely claim it’s due to using an outdated version of Studio, Handy, or Suite. They insist that this is the only possible cause and place the blame on the user for not keeping the software up to date.
They were quite insistent that I didn’t understand how things work and kept repeating that I was using outdated software.
When I explained that this was not the case, they told me my account had been hacked and advised me to use a complex password. I already use a very long one with full ASCII complexity, so I’m not sure what more they expect — especially since I also have MFA enabled.
I’m not sure if this will help with your issue, but the 08 firmware did it update and confirmed completion successfully ?
If you have a USB stick inserted, eject it. Turn off the printer and unplug the 6-pin AMS cable. Then, turn the printer back on and perform a factory reset. After that, try linking the app again and reconnecting the AMS.
Yeah, firmware updated fine (as well as the ones for the ams’). Unplugging the ams’ immediately cleared the MQTT error and controlling the printer from the app no longer gave the MQTT error, so it’s definitely something with the ams.
Downgrading firmware now, will tests, then upgrade again. I have an ams 2 and ams 1 connected in that order. May keep the ams’ unplugged during the firmware upgrade then plug them in one at a time and upgrade their firmwares individually
I did a factory reset after the firmware upgrade initially as well.
I followed the same process updated the printer when the first firmware version 01.01.01.00 was released, then connected one AMS at a time to update them. I have two AMS Pro 2 units and one AMS 1, but currently, only the two AMS 2 units are connected, both running on the 08 firmware.
There is an unusual issue with the heating process. If the filament settings specify that fans should start during or after the print, it interferes with calibration. The printer will pause at the beginning of the calibration process, especially during flow calibration. It may not start or complete properly, and dynamic flow calibration cannot be initiated at all, as the chamber never reaches the required temperature. It seems the system interprets the “start fans after print” setting as a signal to enter cooling mode, creating a conflict.
