What do we know currently about the H2S other than its single nozzle A1 design and larger buildplate? What price point are you guys expecting to see it at? The very fact that it can have a add on cutting module already pushes its price up. And is taking the one nozzle away and maybe some sensors and cameras really going to drop the price dramatically? If so and this printer really does have faster multicolor material switches along with bigger bed size, and better qaulity this is really just a slap on the face to people who bought the H2D. So what are some price predictions and what extra infomation do you have on the H2S compared to the H2D?
The H2S has the same build plate as the H2D, but the usable build volume will be slightly larger due to the single nozzle.
My price forecast, which with AMS is somewhere between $1700 and $1800, is even higher than the X1C combo.
And I highly doubt a laser upgrade is possible at the moment, as the cutting module is supposed to be possible.
They’re not fake. First image was accidentally leaked in a YouTube video (now edited out) and the last image was shared by Bambu themselves, but has since also been removed.
I’m saying at least $1399 and hopefully no more than $1599. I think beyond that price I’m gonna wait for the next sale it gets discounted or perhaps not get it at all depending on how fast multitool head printers start hitting the market at better pricing. Ive always loved a bigger big plate but honestly the $ saving in filament with something like the Snapmaker U1 and not doubt at better pricing than I’m expecting the H2S to have, its like i’m looking for more “fuel economy” than build area, which is something I hadnt even considered before the rise of multicolor pooping printers
I guess it’s a larger X1C – but with the option of connecting other modules. That’s why it has an H in its name, otherwise it would probably have been called an X2C… I strongly assume that its price will settle somewhere between that of the X1C and the Base H2D, at around 1,399.
This is sort of always been their business model. X1C (Flagship) > P1P / P1S. The only one that didn’t seem to follow the model was the A1 Mini coming before the A1, but I assume they wanted to grab that novice, dip my toes in 3D Printing, market ASAP. I think most people expect this is the way it goes by now who know Bambu Lab (or do a little research). I know I did as soon as the H2D was announced, but I still bought one anyway.
Who knows, we might see a multitool head "Letter"3Q (Quadruple) at some point with 4 tool heads and later there be a "Letter"3S for the same generation of printer with only one lol
In my pov it is a H2D with a less complicated print head (single nozzle instead the dual nozzle). Pricewise I guess around the price of the K2 / combo.
The dual nozzle is quite expensive. And to more we will see what else has been striped of the H2D to have the H22S as a product. Dual Nozzle is obvious, Eddy Sensor for nozzle alignment is also not needed, maybe no laser and just cutting. If the camera for the calibration with the vision encoder is also left there might be much more potential for make it cheaper. From the “leaked” photos the mechanical structure looked the same (no carbon rod, instead a lineal rail) like the H2D which make sense. Hope the result is no P1S with a bad camera and poor display.
Honestly, I don’t think so. When it comes to the H2 series, we’re still talking about premium products. I don’t know if an H1S (or whatever they might call it) will ever come out as an even cheaper option, but I do believe the H2S will stay well-equipped, even if it only has a single hotend.
