Just received the notification on the screen, installation is going on as for the AMS too.
Will see the result.
Running fine, printing since 13 hours ![]()
The bed leveling is back to normal from the beta.
I haven’t checked the cold pull
allows you to enter the tungsten carbide nozzles and dry while printing.
I was hoping that there might be some new profiles for the tungsten carbide high flow nozzles in Bambu studio.
I did not find how to d’ry while printing …. where is it in Bambu Studio ?
The are on the printer. Just choose HF or Standard in Studio.
Klick on the humidity symbol at the ams.
Thanks. It does work from the main screen. Did not try with the studio for now.
Its same in studio
, also in the app
You choose Tungsten on the printer. It is not available in Studio.
When selecting in Studio just choose HF or Standard. If you check in the device tab it will show that you have the Tungsten installed.
I’ve printed a bit with it that way and it works well. There’s also no setting for Diamondback nozzles at all, and I use HF for it. At least until I need to set up custom.
The profiles would be in Bambu studio. Yes, you can seledt tungsten carbide in the printer. But there are not specific profiles for them in Bambu studio. In theory you should get a higher flow rate.
i did the update but man the gear sound being so loud and scary and the head was going so fast wiping around even at normal speed i had to go back down in the firmware (edit) 01.02.00.00 it was nice on the new firmware the AMS 2 Pro was able to do the drying when printing was super nice but definitely needs to fix the grinding sound on the motor.
I updated a few hours ago. I have done 3 small prints and haven’t noticed any unusual noise. I have a long one going now and keep an eye… er… ear out for it.
I would perform a full heated bed calibration after any firmware update. See if that fixes the grinding sound.
Printed 20 hours since the update, only did the recomendet printhead calibration, the others not. All works without any problem, no unnormal speed or noises
Update: did all the calibrations and did the vision encoder and when comparing my test results. seems like the firmware 01.01.02.00 seems a lot better for my H2S not sure why but the head on my end is set at 100% normal speed and feels like it’s going above that speed when printing. i wish i can have the drying filament on the 01.01.02.00 but it’s all good there might me some bugs but just my experience. Happy to see people enjoying this update
I don’t feel it prints any faster but i do think it moves faster during the start of the print.
I need to check the cold pull but the bed leveling for me under the beta seemed noisy because it would appear to hit the bed three times for each probe. With this latest release it seems like it is back to before the beta release.
The cold pull had some odd behavior under the beta during the homing phase where it would seemingly probe way early. Hopefully that is fixed.
I did a complete calibration including the encoder plate, which showed it was dead right on. I had done the same during the beta testing so the printer remembered those settings. So I believe you could simply run the motor noise calibration and be safe.
overall printing is at least as good as before the update to the latest release. I was originally thinking that a simple update to support heating filament while printing and being able to select tungsten nozzles would have been fine but this appears to contain more than that.
Maybe I’m imaging this but after this update I noticed my power button led lights up .
took a while before daring but when I keep pushing the printer holds (in pause ) and continues when pushed again. nice..
