Bambu is currently out of stock on the H2D/H2C laser upgrade kits, but the kit for the H2S looks exactly the same with the exception of the 2 side windows, and costs less. Does anybody know if the H2S kit will install flawlessly on the H2C or if there are any unknown differences? I would plan to cover the side windows with black vinyl if I installed the H2S kit on my H2C.
I believe the H2S has a different power supply and some other provisions that the D and C don’t have.
I believe on that basis it won’t work, it would also be that way so people don’t attempt to diy a solution to properly shielding the side windows, lik you’re trying to do.
The green laser side panels have magnets which trigger hall sensors to indicate to the machine that they are installed (same as the green door and opaque lid). The h2c won’t operate in laser mode with clear side glass/doors/top installed.
So the H2S 10W Laser upgrade kit is on flash sale for $436.80 and the left and right laser windows are $90 and $95, making it a bit cheaper, even, than the H2C/D kit that has been out of stock for a while. Does anybody see any issues with going this direction for my H2C. The parts lists look identical other than the left and right safety panels.
Thank you. I found the side panels are available separately for $90 & $95. Plus they’ve dropped the H2S kit price by $200, which easily covers adding these to the order.
The H2C/H2D kits are available and also on sale, at least in EU
If I were you I will wait a bit for it to become available in the US (and on sale) or you may regret your purchase
what, in particular, makes you think it isn’t compatible?
Not the configuration, it will work, you may just regret it when the H2C/H2D upgrade goes available in a few days at $450 like it just went in EU
