Hello,
I want to try the TPU for AMS filament on my A1 mini.
When preparing to print I am getting the following warning:
“Please cold pull before printing TPU to avoid clogging. You may use cold pull maintenance on the printer.”
Is this process necessary with TPU for AMS?
What is the easiest way to perform this requirement (without taking apart the printer)?

it is in generel adviced to do a cold pull to remove remaining fillament to reduce the risk of clogging
if your a1 mini does not have a option to do a cold pull in the settings use this guide:

Cold Pulls are a good idea across the BL printer fleet. It’s a simple process and seriously reduces the “issues” that may arise from swapping to a different filament. As to the Mini working with TPU4AMS, it’s an incredible machine. I just ran some through two days ago on a project (custom do-dad for our new sink in the bathroom). Absolutely spot on. This machine is incredible.

My first ever 3D Print with TPU for AMS came out fine.
By now, as far as I can see, no harm to the printer.

If you are going to print TPU often, I would buy a hotend that you dedicate for tpu only. Then you can just swap nozzles instead of doing cold pulls.

For now, I just tested the TPU for AMS.
I don’t know yet how often I will use TPU or TPU for AMS.
