Handy not working after Android beta QPR3 update?

Hey all,

I updated my Pixel 10 Pro XL to the latest andoid 16 beta version when it came out last night and now Handy appears to not load. As soon as I launch I get the splash screen for a sec or two then it just closes. No errors or messages. Cleared storage/cache, reinstalled the app…Looking like a possible issue with how they changed permissions in this latest update perhaps.

Has anyone else got this update and had issues to confirm? I installed handy on another older phone and it loads right up and I can sign in fine on it…

Not that there is a lot going on, but here is a quick vid of how it acts…You could gleam that from the description but honestly I don’t know what else to share or do for now lol.

I managed to locate the bug in Google’s issue tracker. If anybody else has this issue then know that at least Google is aware of it… I emailed the contact info for bambu as well but hopefully between the two of them somebody can figure it out.

Having the same issue on my Pixel 9a with the latest QPR3 beta.
Splash screen for 1 sec., and force close. There is not even a single pop-up box or anything just to see what caused the error.

Same issue here as well.
Updated last night, handy opens and closes immediately

Bambu replied stating they are aware of the beta build issues and are working on fixing compatibility. At least both parties are aware lol… Now it’s just a waiting game.

The same for me…
I’m waiting for news

Damn. Same here for my PF10. At least I have my 25 ultra.

Same issue for me. Should have waited until after Christmas to update…

Yea it has been painful not being able to monitor my prints like a hawk lol.

Same issue here.

I’m having a similar issue with the Cyber Brick app version 1.3.0, but instead of it crashing, it is stuck on the splash screen.

Got this from Bambu via email this evening:

Thank you for your feedback. We’ve identified crashes occurring on devices running beta builds and our team is working to adapt the app for compatibility. Thank you for reporting this and for your patience.

Yeah, same copy/paste message I got the other day. Fingers crossed they can work quick. :crossed_fingers:

I hope this issue gets fixed soon. I am on a Pixel 9a with the beta update. I feel lost not being able to check in on my prints when at work.

Qpr3 beta 1.1 fixes it. Released today

I forced a check and 1.1 is indeed available. Installing now, fingers crossed

Hallelujah!

Still not working on Pixel 9a (newest beta Update)

Odd… I have the pixel 10 pro XL. Chase Bank app was also acting up and I confirmed it is working now too for me. Curious if anybody else has a 9A that can confirm they still have the issue as well.
