Carbon fiber on the X1C? Does it require a special build plate?
For stuff like pla-cf, which uses a relatively low build plate temp, probably not. But for something like PHAT-CF you want to make sure your build plate is a high temp plate (bambu labs sells high temp plates and im 90% sure the X1C’s stock build plate is a high temp). Ive printed PHAT-CF and PLA-CF on the high temp textured build plate (which i got with the printer) and a bambu labs high temp smooth plate and they print great.
Edit: I don’t think bambu labs sells a build plate that wont work with carbon fiber filaments although Ive never printed with their “cool plate” so i’m not sure about that one
I use cool plate and textured plate on my X1C and they both print perfectly with PLA-CF.
When I got my X1-C it came with a sample roll of PLA-CF. It printed just fine on the textured PEI build plate that came with the printer. After all, isn’t the carbon part of X1-Carbon about the fact that the printer was designed, in part, to print carbon fiber filaments?

No, the “Carbon” part refers to the carbon rods — not its capability to print carbon-filled filaments
