Has anyone set up 2 AMS 2 with the X1c?

I just bought an X1C with 2 AMS 2 pro, though not the combo, took advantage of the flash sale and got 2 AMS2 Pro @ 299 ea, and $799 for the X1C. I got the upgrade with hub. What I don’t see is how to assemble it all, so not sure if I am missing anything.

With a single AMS 2, it uses a buffer, the 4 pin connects the buffer to the X1C, the AMS plugs the 6 Pin into the buffer. Does the Hub replace the buffer in this setup? Does it take the place of the buffer in the back and the 4 pin connects the hub to the X1c, then the 6 pin from the AMS 2 to that, and the second AMS 2 daisy chains to the first AMS 2? This is how my mind put it together based on what I found.

This is detailed in the wiki for the AMS 2. Here is the direct link to the section for the X1C.

Thats what I was trying to find, kept redirecting to non X1C stuff and could not find the hub anywhere, apparently still on a beta page as I did finally find what I was looking for. It is actually under the X1 and not the AMS for the hub.

Yes.

You can use the Filament Buffer too and combine it with the cheaper Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter or a selfprinted splitter.

I had running the buffer in combination with a self printed splitter and 2 AMS. After I got an additional AMS 2 Pro, I replaced the spiltter with the Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter. All is working fine and is cheaper.

I will keep that in mind if I get a second X1c, I already have the 4n1 for the H2D but not using it yet, figured if I add an HT I will need it.

I see they suckered you too! I couldn’t resist the sale price of the X1C, and it was far cheaper to add the AMS 2 Pro, than buy the combo. Plus, as an added bonus, buying two Pro units got you an additional 10% off each, so 269.00 per ams! Who could pass that up?!? (Sane people…)

I bought the hub kit with power supply and an extra power supply for the second AMS. Shipping was fast, ordered early last week, arrived yesterday. Already used up sample filament on a benchy, poop chute and a little lid support for venting.

I let my P1S print a suitable AMS stand for them to sit beside this printer. In the process of hooking them up now, photos when done.

So my P1S has two AMS units, one bought as the combo, another purchased a year or so after. The cases are a bit different in the support divider spacing.

Even though I bought both pro units in the same order, they took sport different cases, one with 3 ribs, one with 5. I guess it’s a matter of whoever Bambu is sourcing the part from apparently.

One of the 2 Pro units already had newest firmware (top unit), the bottom one(5 slot case design) needed updating.

Lotta people want to be notified of the 799 price on the X1C!

My X1c came Yesterday, I got the box open and thats as far as I got. It’s tiny compared to the H2D. The AMS is SOMEHWERE out there. The H2d should arrive on Monday(heard that before, fedex) and the rest of the order is waiting to be picked up. So the X1c will just stay in the box until the AMS2 arrive, no use setting it up without the rest of the equipment. That and I was working to install a mini split in my shop. Had it set to dry overnight, didn’t quite get the drain tube positioned properly top drain and have a puddle on the floor. It’s draining now and FINALLY the humidity is down to 50%, it was 68% last night. I have the two AMS 2 set to PETG dry for 6 hours and humidity so far is down to 12% in each.

So just waiting on delivery, but think I got the jist of setting it up.

Yes, exactly this. I got a P1S + AMS2 pro combo during the 3rd anniversary sale, and then a second AMS2 pro a month later. Because I was planning on getting more than one AMS right from the start, I got the hub rather than the buffer. After the hub, I also have it going through a 4-in-1 PTFE adapter so that I can easily bypass for external spools without disconnecting anything.

Have fun!

I did that too, utilizing the side mount spool bracket that accepts the AMS lite spool holder, works slick.

Kind of lost ATM with Bambu. They have a shipment ready, the one with all the filaments and stuff, Fedex has had the label since the 20th, but they haven’t picked it up, so no idea when it will arrive. It has the parts for the AMS addons. I don’t have a delivery date on the 4 AMS either, just the H2D delivered tomorrow, which skeptical, its Fed Ex. I would at least like to know what day to expect them so someone is available. Until the stuff arrives, not much I can do with the X1C except find a place to put it. Its all set up waiting on the AMS.
